Paul Frank and New York City label MadeMe are releasing a 17-piece collection that’s starring Julius the Monkey. Undoubtedly bringing feelings of emo, cool, and Y2K, the campaign is fronted by American rapper, songwriter, and Paul Frank fan Princess Nokia. Videos and images shot in downtown NYC starring the iconic Princess Nokia bring the outfits to life. It is a downtown reimagining of Julius the Monkey featuring mohair knits, tartan pajamas, vinyl satchels, and more. All images are shot by famed photographer Mayan Toledano.
The exclusive collection from Paul Frank and MadeMe launched on November 10. It is available at Dover Street Market, SSENSE, select Urban Outfitters stores, and online at mademenyc.com. Certainly, it has already made waves on social media and is being hailed as a “cool” and “edgy” campaign that’s bringing Paul Frank back to the forefront of fashion. Still, the latest in a long line of exciting Paul Frank collaborations, we’re sure to see more from Julius the Monkey and his friends. We can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store!
